Leadership in Engineering is a six-month online professional development programme designed for engineers responsible for leading people, projects or teams – who need to get results through others, not just through their own technical contribution.
Whether you're an employer investing in the leaders within your organisation, or a leader looking to grow yourself, this programme builds the mindset, judgement and practical skills needed to lead teams, support performance and navigate the realities of engineering environments.
Designed to integrate directly with participants' existing leadership responsibilities, the programme combines self-paced learning, virtual workshops, peer learning and senior leader conversations across a structured six-month journey. Participants develop the confidence to manage people dynamics, make sound decisions under pressure and lead work that delivers real value. They also connect with engineers from across Aotearoa and the Pacific, building lasting professional networks and broadening their leadership perspective.
The programme is grounded in the realities of engineering leadership, where technical credibility must be balanced with people leadership, commercial awareness and professional responsibility.
