The Leadership in Engineering Programme builds progressively from self-leadership to leading others and delivering through teams.
Who is the programme for?
The programme is designed for engineers operating with increasing leadership responsibility, including those managing direct reports, leading project teams, or influencing outcomes across disciplines and organisations. It is equally relevant for capable early-career engineers already in leadership roles.
It is discipline-agnostic and applicable across consulting, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, and public sector environments, where leadership effectiveness directly impacts delivery, team performance and professional outcomes.
Focus of learning
The programme is focused on the leadership capability required to deliver results through people, not just personal technical contribution.
Participants build the mindset, judgement and practical leadership skills needed to lead teams, support performance and navigate the realities of engineering environments. Through structured reflection, applied learning, facilitated workshops and peer discussion, they learn to manage people dynamics, make sound decisions under pressure and lead work that delivers value.
Each month focuses on a key leadership capability designed to strengthen leadership effectiveness in engineering environments.
