Craig will provide a brief overview of his business and then walk us through the process of designing, building and testing an LV switchboard. If you’ve ever wondered how an LV switchboard is designed and manufactured then this is very much for you!

Following the session Craig will be available to answer your questions.

The workshop tour will start at 5:30pm sharp, so please aim to arrive from 5pm onwards to enjoy some light refreshments and to make sure we’re ready for a prompt start.

Note this a physical in person site visit, and not an online event. Spaces are limited to 15 people maximum.

PPE: No PPE will be required. A brief safety presentation will be provided before accessing the workshop.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Understanding of LV switchboard design process.
2. Understanding of LV switchboard construction process.
3. Understanding of LV switchboard testing processes.

Presenter Bio:
Craig completed his electrical trade at Southward Engineering as an Industrial Electrician in 1993. He then continued with his studies part time over the following 12 years (while working full time) to Complete Advanced Trade papers A, B, C & D and an NZCE In Electrotechnology.

In 2004 he moved to work in Technical sales for Schneider Electric NZ in Automation and Controls, supporting the Lower North Island. In 2009 Craig was offered a partnership in Joule Products Ltd, where he took over the role of Sales, Design and Estimating. During this time Craig became an Accredited CUBIC Switchboard builder, and In 2019 became the sole owner of the Joule Products business.

With over 35 Years of experience working within the Electrical industry, Craig works with customers, contractors, end users and electrical engineers to provide engineered switchboards solutions to suit their individual requirements.

In his spare time Craig enjoys spending time with his wife Melanie and 2 children, Jacob and Gemma. He also enjoys watching sports and playing golf when he has spare time.
