This presentation will provide a foundational understanding of lightning protection system design in accordance with AS/NZS 1768. It explores the key types of lighting protection architectures and outlines essential principles of earth and sure protection. The session aims to equip attendees with practical knowledge to enhance safety and resilience for structures against lighting strikes.

In addition to our Electrical Engineering Group members, we extend the invitation to all interested parties.

Presenter Bio:
With over 25 years of experience in the energy technology sector, Gordan Luetich is the Founder & Director of LPINZ. He brings a robust background in electrical engineering and as a registered electrician. Gordan has successfully designed, supplied, and commissioned lightning protection systems on some of New Zealand's most iconic structures, including the Sky Tower, Auckland Airport Control Tower, and Rocket Lab, amongst many others.
