Engineering New Zealand has commissioned a desktop review from the Rutherford Business Institute about the current state of AI and its possible near- and medium-term impacts for engineering, engineers, and Engineering New Zealand. This working paper will inform the newly established Engineering New Zealand AI Advisory Committee.

The AI Advisory Committee will then recommend to the Governing Board a number of initiatives to shape our work programme, Engineering and AI. Engineering and AI will help members of all disciplines respond to the prevalence and speed at which AI is gaining prominence in today’s world.
