In August, members were surveyed about their attitudes towards Engineering New Zealand and how we could improve. Here’s what you told us.

Engineering New Zealand’s delivery of online and in-person CPD offerings, cost incentives, and means to improve technical expertise was cited as a key benefit. This was unsurprising, as CPD is key to getting ahead in your career.

But there is more for us to do. Respondents wanted sharp focus on technical content and resources. We are currently implementing a learning platform to enhance your learning experience, including for engineers wanting to become Chartered Members or be assessed or reassessed as Chartered Professional Engineers.

There was positive feedback for Engineering New Zealand's professional activities and services, and enabling connection with peers. Respondents generally thought Engineering New Zealand supported this function well but welcomed opportunities for more events, engagement and networking – including in-person and online, regional, and mentorship opportunities.

We also received a lot of feedback about our chartership processes. This feedback is informing our ongoing work to strengthen the Chartered Professional Engineers system

We appreciate everyone who gave their time to provide these insights.
