The New Zealand Hydropower Group, established in June 2021, is a forum for hydropower professionals working in this multidisciplinary field of engineering. It supports professionals in this area to share experience and knowledge across New Zealand and internationally, as well as acting as a voice for the local hydropower sector.
What we do
The New Zealand Hydropower Group are in the early stages of development but seek to provide a platform for hydropower professionals to connect, learn and raise the profile of the sector. They will be working closely with the New Zealand Society on Large Dams, other technical groups and international hydropower associations.
Core activity will include regular communication on latest news, research and projects; events such as technical presentations, site visits and networking opportunities and; potentially a biannual conference and technical exhibition.
Applications for membership are now open and will be complimentary to 1 October 2021 whilst the interim committee sets the membership structure, fees and activity.
