As part of the MESNZ objective "To encourage New Zealand training into tertiary education and technology", a Scholarship is offered each year, for the specific purpose of covering tuition fees.

What’s on offer?

A MESNZ Scholarship worth up to $5000 is to be offered each year, for the specific purpose of covering tuition fees.

Eligibility

  • This scholarship is available to assist students commencing study towards an accredited engineering degree, diploma or certificate from any year level
  • Students must be studying for either: Level 4 Certificate, New Zealand Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (scholarships can be awarded during any year).
  • Students must be New Zealand citizens or Permanent Residents
  • Applicants shall be selected on the basis of: interest in maintenance engineering as a career, motivation to succeed, and academic merit.

How to apply

Application forms are available from the MESNZ Executive Officer or online here. Applications must include the completed application form, along with a CV, 500 word essay on ‘Why I want to be a maintenance engineer’, evidence of involvement of a completed maintenance project, a copy of their most recent results, a professional and a character reference.
