The revitalisation of New Brighton is bringing a number of big exciting developments like He Puna Taimoana, the City to Sea Pathway, the New Brighton Mall, the New Brighton Beachside Playground, alongside private developments like the Village Green Project and Pierside. The Marine Parade upgrade included road, safety and accessibility upgrades between Hawke Street and Bowhill Road. 

This project was funded as part of the Christchurch Regeneration Acceleration Facility (CRAF) fund, which is central government funding for transport projects. Hear from CCC Transport Project Manager Nic Catto about the street upgrade, cycleway/shared path and vision of this sea-side project.

Walk the route, hear the thinking and wind down with delicious food and drinks at Southpaw Brewery, delicious food and drink from Southpaw will be provided so please advise of any dietary requirements.
