We would like to invite you to the Professional Master of Engineering Geology (PMEG) NZGS Industry Symposium. The symposium provides an opportunity to support emerging engineering geologists, learn about current industry challenges and research, and connect with students, academics, and industry professionals.

The PMEG students will each give a 7-minute presentation (plus 3-minute Q&A) on the methods and initial outcomes of their Engineering Geology Projects at an Symposium.

These projects are independent bodies of research in Engineering Geology, each developed and co-supervised by an industry partner, allowing students to make meaningful industry connections and to work on real-world problems.

Our industry partners this year include ENGEO, WSP, Marlborough District Council, KiwiRail, Beca, Stantec, ITASCA Consulting, and DamWatch. The projects are worth a total of 60 points, equivalent to 600 hours of study overall, and these presentations are worth 15% of this grade.
