Large-scale relict landslides affect around 80% of the East Coast Bays Formation (ECBF) on the O Mahurangi (Penlink) project.
These landslides provide an insight into the widespread instability within the Waitemata Hill Country, also referred to as the Northern Landslide Zone. Presenters from the O Mahurangi project will share geological insights, engineering challenges, and practical lessons from constructing through some of the most difficult ground conditions in northern Auckland.
Join the New Zealand Geotechnical Society's Auckland Branch for this groundbreaking presentation by Rhys Graafhuis, Susan Tilsley, Simon Farquhar, and Dion Willcocks on The Northern Landslide Zone: Geological Discovery and Engineering Practice from the O Mahurangi Project.
