The Temporary Works forum (TWf) is pleased to announce their 21st Public Meeting, a joint event with the Auckland Branch of Engineering New Zealand. The event will be a chance to catch up with peers, network and listen to two very interesting presentations on The Air NZ Hanger 4 Project and Samwoo's High-Capacity Temporary Ground Anchors.
Presentation 1: Air New Zealand Hanger 4
BG&E will provide an insight into the temporary works associated with the Air NZ Hanger 4, focusing on the lifting and capture of the 100m timber arch structure from flat to vertical, along with some practical solutions brought together through collaboration with the contractor (NZ Strong) and wider design team.
Presentation 2: Grouting Services Samwoo’s High-Capacity Temporary Anchors
Grouting Services will provide an overview of Samwoo’s high-capacity temporary anchors, including recent applications on infrastructure and retaining projects in New Zealand, with a focus on their time and cost-efficiency, robust performance and ease of use.
Refreshments from 5.30pm, courtesy of Ramset Reid. Attendance is free but registration is required and attendee numbers are limited to 100.
There will also be an opportunity to look at some of the temporary works systems in use by Dominion Constructors, including Peri and Doka formwork which will be set up at the venue for attendees to view.
