The class intents to share tools for using, and encouraging, Te Reo Māori in the workplace, and everyday life. It is intended for beginner level. We are delighted to be joined by Terehia Walker who will teach us for the evening.

The agenga includes:

Mihi Whakatau – Welcome everyone to the session
Waiata – Te Aroha
Whanaungatanga – Introductions
Pepeha Activity – Sharing and practicing pepeha (using the template shared before class)
Basic Te Reo Māori Phrases – Everyday greetings and phrases
Karakia Whakamutunga – Closing karakia

Please bring a pen and notepad if you wish to take notes. Some snacks will be provided.

This event is limited in numbers and is located in Devonport at 5:45pm - please only sign-up if you can commit to attending the class.

We recommend the Ferry from Downtown for those travelling from the city (the library is located close, less than 5 min walk, on the Devonport side).
