This visit will give you a close up look at the extensive site works underway and provide good background for the presentation later in the evening.
We will be travelling by bus from the University of Waikato campus to the Omanawa Road entrance. No other vehicles are permitted on site so please make sure you arrive on time at the campus to join the bus.
PPE will be checked prior to entry to the bus, if you are missing PPE you will not be visiting the site.
NZGS Bay of Plenty branch invites members to join a visit to the construction site for the new Ōmanawa Bridge on SH29A in Tauriko. This visit will include a site walk over with discussions on geology, geotechnical design and construction so far.
