Presenter Bio:
Gabriella Solti is General Manager – Metro Systems Assurance at KiwiRail and a system safety and assurance leader with extensive experience across rail and other high-risk industries.
She has held key safety leadership roles on major projects including City Rail Link, Auckland Light Rail, and KiwiRail, as well as roles with the Auckland Metro Rail Operator, and specialises in demonstrating system safety and operational outcomes.
Gabriella was awarded the TrackSAFE Foundation New Zealand Safety Leadership Award in 2025 for her sustained contribution to rail safety.
An overview of KiwiRail’s locomotive European Train Control System (ETCS) project, focusing on the safety assurance approach used to extend ETCS Level 1 to freight and locomotive-hauled passenger operations on the Auckland network.
