Strides & Yarns is a fun, inclusive event bringing together the University of Waikato parkrun community and Engineering New Zealand. This free 5 km run, jog, or walk is all about moving at your own pace and enjoying a relaxed Saturday morning with good company. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a seasoned runner, casual walker, or just coming along for the social side, the event is about connection as much as movement.
The course follows the scenic lakeside paths of the University of Waikato campus, starting from the village green at 8:00 am. While parkrun volunteers will be running the course as usual. Engineering New Zealand members will also be there, giving you the opportunity to chat with industry professionals, students, and the local community.
After the run, your invited to head to Jack's Coffee Lounge for a free coffee to further network and connect in a relaxed setting after the run. Please make sure to register with parkrun online beforehand and bring your barcode to participate.
