In the Electrical Industry, extending the life of critical infrastructure assets such as high voltage transformers are essential to maintaining reliability and managing costs. Successful condition-based monitoring programs are becoming more important as longer transformer lead times are augmented by the added stress of new renewable energy.
The presentation will explore the following related to life extension of existing transformer assets:
1. Condition Assessment - Precursor to Life Extension
2. Why Refurbish Transformers?
3. What is Life Extension of Transformer? CIGRE definition
4. Cost Benefit of Life Extension - Cellulose Insulation Drying
5. How advanced Condition Monitoring helps in Life Extension
6. Useful references
In addition to our Electrical Engineering Group members, we extend the invitation to all interested parties.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Available Condition Monitoring Options for Transformers.
- Calculating the Cost Benefit of Life Extension and ROI on Condition Monitoring.
- Calculating the Sustainability Benefit of Life Extension.
This presentation is available to attend both online and in person.
Doors open at 5pm for drinks and nibbles with the presentation starting at 5:30pm sharp.
