Greg will provide a brief overview of his business and then walk us through the process of designing, building, and testing an LV switchboard. If you’ve ever wondered how an LV switchboard is designed and manufactured, then this is very much for you!

Following the session Greg will be available to answer your questions.

The workshop tour will start at 5:30pm sharp, so please aim to arrive from 5:00pm onwards to enjoy some light refreshments and to make sure we’re ready for a prompt 5:30pm start.

Note this a physical in person site visit to Gael Switchboards workshop in Grenanda North Wellington, and not an online event. Spaces are limited to 15 people maximum.

No PPE will be required. A brief safety presentation will be provided before accessing the workshop.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Understanding of LV switchboard design process.
2. Understanding of LV switchboard construction process.
3. Understanding of LV switchboard testing processes.

Presenter Bio: Greg Watson Director of Gael Switchboards Wellington
Greg Watson is the owner of Gael Switchboards, a trusted name in Switchboard construction based in Granada North, Wellington since 1994. As a second-generation leader, Greg took the reins from his father in the early 2000s and continues the legacy of quality craftsmanship. Specialising in switchboards built with Legrand and Schneider switchgear, he partners closely with consultants, contractors, and wholesalers to deliver tailored solutions across the Wellington and Manawatu regions. Post-COVID, Greg has successfully steered the business through changing market demands, continuing to provide reliable, future-focused service to the commercial and industrial sectors. Greg looks forward to welcoming members of EEG to his workshop for an informative and engaging evening session.
