International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is celebrated annually on June 23rd. It's an international campaign that highlights the achievements and contributions of women in engineering, aiming to encourage more girls and women to pursue engineering careers. The day also aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by women in the field and promote gender equality in engineering.
Please join us on International Woman in Engineering Day for a networking breakfast to connect with others in the engineering sector and hear experiences from some woman working locally in the Engineering field. This includes a conversation with Anita Varga (Fulton Hogan) who recently received the NZ Order of Merit for services to women in the construction industry.
There will be food, coffee and tea provided.
This event is open to all regardless of gender, we are looking forward to a sharing experiences and discussing how far we have come and what still needs to be done
