Join us for a high level discussion on how Hadlee & Brunton approached a project that they had initially rejected due to the extreme risk profile. David Brunton will talk through some of the engineering & design processes used to successfully navigate the challenges faced with this unique and extremely complex project from its inception through to completion.
The requirements of this contract were to design, construct, install, test and commission a new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to upgrade the existing plant allowing for an ocean outfall. Wastewater from the existing ODL DAF units is being treated in anoxic and aeration tanks as well as a MBR to suitable quality water for direct discharge into the ocean meeting Resource Consent requirements. Solids are being dewatered and taken offsite.
Dr Matt Savage will present how to select a suitable biological treatment option that meets the discharge requirements, how this develops from design to implementation and ultimately testing the design.
Light lunch will be provided, register now!
