The 2025 NZTS shortcourse is upon us again and is lining up to be a significant calendar event, with presenters from industry leading conultancies, such as Aecom, ALTA, Arup, Aurecon, Beca, Delve Underground and Novoconsult Ltd. The shortcourse aims to deliver representative chapters from the revised (2024) 'ATS Tunnel Design Guidelines', highlighting relevant updates and providing a general overview of the guidelines in full. Presentations will also include recent case studies from major tunnelling projects throughout Australasia and around the world. Topics include tunnel spaceproofing, design methods, groundwater and hydrology, relevant design/ approaches i.e. observational and segmental lining, ground movements and impact assessments, waterproofing, as well as constructability and planning.

This full day shortcourse will benefit designers, consultants and contractors (including Project Managers, Project Engineers, CoC holders and Engineering Managers) alike, and includes a discounted rate for students. The course will also count towards Continueing Professional Development (CPD) hours.

Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and networking drinks/nibbles, following the event, will be provided with the course fee.
