Te Ara o Te Ata – Mt Messenger Bypass is a new 6km route that avoids the existing steep, narrow and winding route over Mt Messenger on State Highway 3 in North Taranaki. The new bypass includes two bridges of 125m and 30m and a 235m tunnel. It's being delivered by the Mt Messenger Alliance, consisting of Waka Kotahi, Downer, HEB Construction, Tonkin + Taylor and WSP.
This site visit will consist of a project presentation and tour of the construction site. PPE (hard hat, hi-vis, steel-capped shoes) required.
Due to limited space and parking on site we have been encouraged to car pool and will be in touch to help coordinate with those that register.
Following up on the onsite project presentation last year, we have arranged a follow up site visit to see progress on the Mt Messenger Bypass project.
