Join us during Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori for a hands-on mihi workshop for engineers of all levels of te reo Māori. You will gain confidence introducing yourself, acknowledging tangata whenua, and understanding what makes a mihi meaningful. The workshop will cover the differences between pepeha, mihi, and whaikōrero, and highlight the common themes that shape a mihi.

You will take part in practical activities, including scenario-based exercises and a construct your own mihi session, creating a personalised mihi ready for professional or social settings. Facilitated by Wiripo Ritchie, Vice Chair of Engineering New Zealand Young Engineers Waikato Branch, the session is welcoming for beginners and experienced speakers alike.

This free workshop includes catering and is supported by the Engineering New Zealand Young Engineers Waikato Branch and hosted by Tonkin & Taylor. Come along to develop your Reo skills, connect with colleagues, and leave with a confident, tangible mihi.
