The Hīkoi will be guided by Rikona Andrews, Māori Communications Specialist from AECOM. Rikona will share his knowledge in te reo Māori for the engineering elements we see on our way. We will walk along the waterfront, towards the Auckland Harbour. The walk will be at a leisurely pace and will take about an hour.

After the walk, we’ll unwind at the Conservatory for a relaxed networking session with snacks and drinks provided by Engineering New Zealand. This interactive walk is a fantastic opportunity to incorporate more te reo Māori in your engineering practice and deepen your cultural and language skills. It is a great way to engage with te reo Māori in a practical, engineering-focused setting while networking with fellow engineers.

Spaces are limited, so please only register if you’re committed to attending. Don’t miss this special blend of education, culture, community and engineering.

This event is weather-dependent and will be rescheduled in case of bad weather.
