Engineering New Zealand invites you to a site visit of the Eastern Busway project, a significant transport infrastructure development in East Auckland.
The Eastern Busway is one of Auckland’s largest public transport infrastructure projects, aiming to improve travel times, reduce congestion, and provide more and safer travel options for pedestrians and cyclists. The project includes dedicated bus lanes, new stations, Rā Hihi (flyover) above Reeves Road, and improved walking and cycling connections across East Auckland. Once complete, the busway is expected to carry over 18,000 passengers daily, easing pressure on existing roads and supporting the region’s future growth.
PPE required:
- Hi-vis vest
- Long sleeves and trousers (no skirts)
- Hard hat with chin strap
- Safety boots
- Safety glasses
- Catering: Light refreshments provided
