Bridge 45 SNL is one of KiwiRail's 5 x Weathering Steel Ballast Trough Bridge replacement projects, of which 4 are on the West Coast. HEB will be in their final preparation works in the lead up to the Block of Line on the 30th of August for the new Bridge Replacement.
Bridge 45 SNL was first constructed in 1892 and although modified is still in daily use through to the BOL in august 2025, 133 years later.
Please note: Hard hat, eye protection, long sleeve & long pants, hi-vis and safety boots are required for this site visit.
