‘Make the complex clear and the clear compelling.’ (John Eales)

Technical writing should help readers and users understand complex content, take the right steps, and make good decisions. Unfortunately, ‘...much technical information has a reputation as the last thing people want to read or the last thing to turn to for help’. (IBM Handbook: Developing Quality Technical Information)

Poorly written technical content costs time, creates confusion, and can even compromise safety and compliance. In this 1-hour webinar, we’ll discuss writing and design techniques that make our content clear, usable, and trustworthy.

We’ll explore topics that include:

-audience-focused and purpose-driven writing
-an effective structure and good language
-deliberate information design.

Expect actionable tips, real-world examples, and ideas you can apply immediately in your day-to-day work.
