This event brings together two transformative topics in civil and structural engineering. Dewi Todd-Jones, Principal Asset Engineer Structures at NZTA, will present the proposed Data Driven Structures Asset Management (DDSAM) framework. This initiative aims to revolutionize how New Zealand’s state highway structures are managed - introducing a fully digital, risk-based system that integrates condition assessments, forecasting tools, and a graphical user interface for real-time asset monitoring. The framework also includes new competency, certification, and auditing processes to ensure consistent data quality and repair strategies across the network.

In the second presentation, Kurt Haywood (Jacobs) and Neha Raphael (Fletcher Construction) will share insights from the design and construction of Rā Hihi-a 587m-long, 17-span viaduct delivered ahead of schedule and under budget. The session will cover structural optioneering, use of large-diameter monopiles, 3D modelling in Revit, thermal analysis of concrete pours, and construction sequencing within the busy Pakuranga Town Centre. Their work exemplifies innovation and collaboration in delivering complex infrastructure projects.

Whether you're an asset manager, designer, or construction professional, this event offers valuable lessons and inspiration.
