Celebrate Matariki with a relaxed winter evening exploring the fascinating connections between space, science and engineering.
Hosted at the Astronomical Society, this event will include an engaging talk on space-related topics and the engineering that helps us observe, understand and explore the universe. It is a great opportunity to learn something new, celebrate Matariki, and connect with others in the local engineering community.
Light supper and snacks will be provided. Weather permitting, attendees will also have the opportunity to look through the telescopes and experience the night sky up close.
This event is suitable for engineers, students, whānau and anyone with an interest in astronomy, technology, engineering or the stars above us.
