Make the most of the summer sun and join your fellow engineers for a relaxed afternoon of socialising and scenery. Engineering New Zealand is proud to host this year’s Family BBQ, an event designed to bring our professional community together alongside the people who support us most – our friends and family.
Location: Number 6 Findlay Picnic Area One (please see the map for reference).
What to expect!
- Take a wander through the historic Halswell Quarry. Whether you’re interested in the sister-city gardens or the panoramic views from the rim tracks, there is plenty to explore on your own schedule.
- We’ll have two BBQs firing onsite to keep the food coming! The Branch is providing a full spread of BBQ favourites and a selection of soft drinks.
- Catch up with colleagues and meet new members of the Canterbury engineering community in a casual, outdoor setting.
Good to know!
- All engineers, partners and families are warmly invited.
- Soft drinks are on us. If you’d like anything else, feel free to BYO your preferred beverages.
- We want to make sure there is plenty for everyone! Just let us know any dietary needs when you register so we can have the right food ready for you.
- Throw some sun protection and a picnic blanket or camp chairs in the car. We also recommend comfortable shoes if you’re planning on hitting the walking tracks.
