The Aircraft Engineering Association of New Zealand (AEANZ) was formed out of the engineering division of the Aviation Industry Association. Membership is open to companies and individuals. Benefits include sharing of knowledge, education, work experiences and professional development.

What the group does

AEANZ aim to:

  • Support and assist the professional development of its members.
  • Establish a management regime that is effective in advancing the industry.
  • Provide a system of peer review and mentoring for engineering matters and business.
  • Provide a group of industry experts, to advise on industry and regulatory issues.
  • Develop an efficient mechanism for dealing with regulatory issues.

Who should join AEANZ?

  • LAME/ADE - Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Aeronautical Design Engineer
  • AME - Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or technician (non-licenced).
  • Trainee - An engineering trainee, currently employed by a maintenance provider who is under an industry training provider contract. for example ATTTO, NMIT.
  • Student - Any engineering student currently enrolled with a tertiary education provider, with the intention of joining the industry as a maintenance or design engineer trainee, to complete their qualifications.
