Learn about the influence that the Shotover River / Kimiākau has on Lake Wakatipu flood hazard, the initiatives that ORC have implemented to address that influence and the 2025 / 2026 assessment of the effectiveness of those interventions.

Ramon Strong from Haskoning will provide an overview of the issues and the state and trends related to both the Shotover / Kawarau confluence and the Kawarau from the lake outlet to the Arrow River confluence, based on the intervening 15 years of data
