Join Engineering New Zealand for an easy-to-follow (but still technical) evening with presenters from Auckland Transport and Watercare, sharing how they’re planning for a lower-emissions, more resilient future using better data, practical modelling and real-world scenarios. Stick around after the talks for refreshments and a chance to meet other engineers and keep the conversation going.

We’re pleased to host Dr Manoj K. Pokhrel and Luke Poulsen from Auckland Transport, and Kevan Brian and Jolene Francis from Watercare, who will share practical insights from their work shaping low emissions, climate resilient services in Tāmaki Makaurau.

Expect a clear walkthrough of the shifting regulatory and disclosure environment, the data organisations are strengthening (from emissions to supply chains), and how scenarios and risk frameworks are used to stress test decisions over the long term.

The session will also touch on emissions inventory fundamentals (GHG Protocol scopes) and how modelling informs investment and asset-planning choices. Wrap up with refreshments and relaxed networking with peers.

  • In-person starts at 5.30PM for networking and refreshments.
  • Online session starts at 6PM with presentations.

In person location: Auditorium of Auckland Transport, 20 Viaduct Harbour Avenue, Auckland CBD

Free for members and $10 for non-members.

This event is kindly sponsored by Auckland Transport.
