Calling all those in the engineering community who identify as Māori. Attend one of our kanohi ki te kanohi hui throughout the motu from May to August – we’d love to see you there.

Te Ao Rangahau is on a journey to embrace Te Ao Māori, both within our organisation and throughout the wider profession. We’re excited to do this mahi and are keen to hear from you.

These kanohi ki te kanohi hui with kai are an opportunity for you to share your perspectives through wānanga and kōrerorero with Te Ao Rangahau and one another.

Your unique stories and experiences will provide an important perspective to feed into Kimihia Rangahaua, our programme to embed Te Ao Māori into our work, our organisation, and the engineering profession – and get some early feedback on our plan for the years ahead. We want to know your needs and wants – He aha āu hiahia, āu tūmanako, āu wawata? He aha te huarahi tika ki mua?

To allow for honest kōrerorero, these hui are only open to Māori within the profession and will be led by Te Ao Rangahau and Papaki Parihau, its external Māori advisory group.

We welcome students through to kaumātua. You don’t need to be a member of Te Ao Rangahau to attend. Even if you can't attend, please help spread the word about these events with the Māori engineering whānau – you may be able to reach someone we otherwise would have missed.
