Come along to this year's AGM followed by a highly topical presentation by Melaina Voss.

The AGM will be brief and will include discussion on the new committee. Currently we're looking for four new committee members – being on the committee is an excellent opportunity for networking as well as CPD hours and progress towards Chartered status.

Afterwards we'll hear from Melaina on the future of Palmerston North’s wastewater. Melaina works for Morrison Low Consultants and is the Project Manager for the Palmerston North Wastewater BPO Project.

Abstract

Historically speaking, our rivers have been viable options for local authorities to discharge treated wastewater into. Within the Horizons Region, this has changed in the past 5 years and we have witnessed three local authorities move their waste out of rivers and onto land. The message seems clear, ‘business as usual’ won’t work anymore. Nature Calls is Palmerston North City Councils journey to deliver a BPO and resource consent for the city’s wastewater by 2022. Come and hear what Council has achieved so far.

Join us from 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
