Te Kāhiu Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects and Engineering New Zealand Nelson-Marlborough Branch and Young Engineers present Belinda Storey to address the implications of insurance retreat on the building industry and our community at this year's sea level rise workshop.

Belinda is a climate economist and a principal investigator with National Science Deep South Challenge. Her research focuses on financial risks and insurance availability in coastal properties and infrastructure from escalating climate impacts. Belinda has a MBA in Finance from Columbia University of New York and a Masters in Disaster Risk from the University of Canterbury.

The recently-released IPCC report highlights the urgent need for adapting to climate change. Planning for the long-term benefit of our community needs to start now.
