Join us as we hear from Sulo Shanmuganathan (Chief Engineer at Waka Kotahi) and Darren Wright (Director at New Zealand Claims Resolution Service) along with our regular speakers Paul Hobbs (MBIE Principal Advisor Building System Assurance) and national researcher Liam Wotherspoon

The group and forum follows the successful model of the advisory groups established post Darfield and Kaikoura earthquakes. The ELG has been established to consider key technical issues involved in the assessment, repair and reconstruction of residential and commercial buildings and related infrastructure.

The forum agenda will include regular presentations from MBIE and research body representatives, the ELG, and other interested parties on a revolving basis. The forum forms a collaborative platform for local engineering practitioners to discuss issues being encountered in the aftermath of the event.
