We all want a regulatory system that keeps New Zealanders as safe as possible. A system that engineers and the public can trust.
CPEng doesn’t stop engineers operating outside their areas of competence. It doesn’t provide enough assurance that an engineer can do specific, safety-critical tasks. It needs reform, and we’ve heard that loud and clear from our technical groups and members.
Rather than wait any longer for regulatory change, we want to improve what’s under our control now – and we want your feedback on our proposals.
We’re holding webinars to provide an overview of the proposals and an opportunity to ask questions.
We have four sessions available – three that are general and one is aimed specifically at younger engineers at the start of their careers.
