The conference theme, 'The future of the past', will focus on heritage engineering or technology which has endured, undergone development, restoration and repurposing to claim its place in the future. And taking place in Aotearoa's deep south, Otago, it's a theme that aligns well with the story of the region.
What’s in store?
We’ll have two full days of fascinating sessions – discussing everything from new engineering techniques and heritage restoration, to research, storytelling and community engagement.
And we’re delighted to have inspiring keynote speakers who will share their knowledge gained in New Zealand and internationally across a range of heritage topics.
The conference dinner is set to be a highlight – and will feature Sir Ian Taylor CNZM as the after dinner speaker. We’ll also announce the winner of the Inaugural Engineering Heritage Award.
